Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance. For their own protection we insist that all our guests have adequate travel insurance, and we need to have the details before departure. Remember, free insurance provided by some Credit Cards and certain Bank Accounts may not be adequate. We personally use Go Travel insurance Services, as they seem to consistently provide very competitive quotes.

Also make sure you get a European Health Card (which replaced the E1-11). These are free, which will entitle you to free or reduced cost medical treatment at the hospital or state medical centres. Note also that a valid health card is a requisite for most insurance policies.

Whatever insurance company you choose, make sure you disclose everything. Insurance providers will use any excuse to wriggle out of their obligations, leaving people stranded, broke, or both. Also, don't rely on free insurance provided by credit cards or bank accounts as they may be inadequate.
